WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM OUR FAMILIES - THESE NOTES MAKE US SMILE EVERY TIME WE READ THEM!

Lisa - Lucy and King are
doing great! She is quite the little lady - still very
"prancy" and would truly prefer to be a house dog. The photos
are on our front walk and as you can see they were more interested
in the fox in the side yard than in getting their pictures
taken. They are both super, super dogs and we love having
them in our family. Melissa |
Hi Lisa, Remember Us? We
are enjoying our kitten sooo much. Wishing you a
wonderful holiday season Anne, Joe &

Hi Doug and Lisa, Enclosed is a recent photo of
Princess. She has really turned in to a beautiful girl!
She's very happy and loving and Shaun and I just adore her . . .
and we think she feels the same! Anyway, Shaun wanted to be sure
you had a current photo and wanted me to ask if we could bring
Princess out to visit with you guys sometime. He is soooo
proud of her! He just loves to sleep on the patio in his
sleeping bag so Princess can sleep with him. And she is
always right by his side, snuggled up against him! Best Wishes, Wanda |
Dear Lisa and Doug, We adore your puppy! Enclosed
are a few snapshots of Duffy, his children and his yard (Paul was
camera shy, but spends 2 hours every morning walking and playing
with the dog, although he claims to be working on a
brief!) Things you may not have known about
MacDuff Sable Cloud: 1. on hot days he loves to stretch out over
the air conditioning vent . . . . . |

I just wanted to send
you a few photos of Zeke (blue) and Isabella (ruddy). We
adopted Zeke from you in May of 03'. He is the most
affectionate cat I have ever met. Two years
later, in March of 05', we decided that Zeke needed a little
sister to play with. When we picked up Isabella from
the farm, we brought Zeke along for the ride (he loves
the car). At first it was all hisses and growls from the
spoiled little boy when he met his new sister. Two weeks
later, they were inseparable. They play together,
sleep together and are two of the happiest cats. Thank you
for our two wonderful "children". Sincerely Bill

I wanted to let you know that we went to our first show yesterday. Not obedience, but conformation. Over the last couple of months I had several people, from obedience people and breed people, tell me I should show Asher. Not having any idea what I was doing, I went to a few handling classes in Lubbock and had a lot of help from mostly Sheltie people. There was a 4 day cluster of shows in Big Spring and I entered in Saturday’s show. Ray and I went down Friday night and met a couple of friends from the obedience club. One of them, Cheryl, trimmed his ears and showed how to brush him for the show. We were the only one in puppy dog, but showed also against a bred-by and an open dog. We went reserve winners, which was more that I expected. I got to meet 2 big Collie breeders and asked them what they thought of Asher. They really liked him and one even said she wouldn’t mind if her were her dog. They all agreed he needed to grow up a little, but they loved his head and eyes. The others in the ring loved his expression and attitude. I need to work on his way of going a little more, but was told it mostly age. I want to go again, we both had fun. He is easy to travel with and seems to take everything in stride.
I am attaching a photo of Asher and Sky, our cockatiel. Asher's registered name is RM Blessing in Disguise - he is certainly living up to his name. He loves being in the middle of everything and assumes everything and everyone wants him there too. All the other creatures that live here are his creatures to take care of.
Thank you for him!

He is doing just great. Becoming
real close and likes to come in to watch TV with Katha. I
can't get over how much he likes TV. Just lays there watching
except for the commercials. He did well through the tenting.
We three stayed over at the neighbors for 3 days and they have a
big yard so the boys explored in all the palm trees Phil is
growing. They both had a good time and of course loved the
Sheltie who lives there. Katha went home to mothers
with the cat. Just wanted you to see him and tell you
again he's a great dog and lots and lots of fun to be around.
I really get a kick out of playing with him. Gary |
Good Morning Lisa, All is well! The little guy was certainly busy in the hotel Friday night. We made it to Sheridan around noon. He's digging his bathroom and the dogs don't seem to faze him although they haven't been on the same surface together. Right now he's sitting my shoulder and observing the rest of the house for the first time. Everyone, including me, is so amazed at how well socialized he is and I'm giving you all the credit! He spooks at nothing. Eating and drinking are going well. I'm just waiting for the bowels to move then I (and He) will be completely comfortable. Yesterday he rode on shoulders while we walked in the country with 6 dogs. He couldn't have been happier. One of ours, unfortunately, rolled in a dead skunk arghhhhh. Have a restful weekend and thanks again. Best-M |

Hi Lisa,Well, after multiple attempts, I'm proud (yes, PROUD!) to attach these pictures. Thank goodness for digital cameras. I don't know how much film we would have wasted if we were taking pictures the "old" way. Ramses is looking beautiful, cute, and funny. He and our ruddy, Asia, are having a blast. In fact, Bagheera (my old man) is actually relieved to be able to get some rest. Asia and Ramses run around here until they're both exhausted, get a nap, and then are at it again. Ramses went into the vase on his own, and once he was spotted, the camera came out and we just started clicking away! You know how cats can't resist bags. I don't leave plastic bags out as toys, but as we were emptying out our bags after a trip to Target, the cats didn't waste any time using them as a playground. Ramses is so loyal and sleeps with me. He doesn't always let me sleep through the night, but I love this cat and his loyalty. It's all part of being a Cat Mom. Take care! Angie |
Hi Lisa, Rajah is adjusting beautifully into our family and home. She is quite feisty but we love her personality. She is an excellent eater and perfect at her kitty litter training. Thank you for that! Here are some pictures of Rajah and our daughter. Thank you again for a wonderful kitten! Have a great week |

Lisa & Doug First of all, let me tell you, I love these little boys, even with all their craziness. The boys are doing well. Franco continues to be the sweetest boy. He is now sleeping with me every night. He likes to lay between my cuddle pillow and my side and hold my hand with his paws. It is very endearing, but difficult when I have to get up in the middle of the night. Franco is also quite the "bugger". He is very patient and waits them to come out at night. Lucca is still the "devil child". We believe he trys to find things to get into. His newest trick is to jump from the floor to the top of the shower and into the tub. He has missed a couple of times and I was sure he broke something, but not yet. We now keep the bathroom door closed; however, he is extremely fast and waits outside and rush in. Nothing is safe from him. Any time something falls, we know it was Lucca ands he always puts on his innocent act. And of course he never is innocent. Lucca cannot pass by a glass with liquid in it. He has to knock it over. Dan has been ready to wring his little neck several mornings. Hopefully, he will outgrow that. Lucca still cannot be out to roam free all night. He would get Franco involved and we would not get a moments sleep. This is what Dan has to deal with every morning when he eats his cereal. Franco turns into a vulture. Dan has trained him to wait, so you can see he is waiting patiently. But, he loves to lick the bowl. There really isn't much left, but he thinks he's getting a treat. The boys are always entertaining. They play well together and finally Lucca will allow Franco to take a nap in the afternoon. Until about 3 weeks ago I had to separate them so that Franco could rest. But, we do enjoy them. I really cannot imagine live without the crazy little guys. They all require a lot of affection. Lucca stays within eye shot of me at all times. He comes when I call him. I really wish I would have trained them to use the toilet like Horus. Franco is definitely momma's boy and I think Lucca looks like Nomo. |

We discovered that puma likes to play with wrappers and aluminum foil balls. So I made a giant aluminum foil ball to see what he'd do with it. Here's a picture of it in his mouth. If you throw it somewhere, he will play with it back to us and kind of drop it near us. He's been known to carry his toys up and down the stairs. He stole one of my socks one day. I know abby's like water. Puma likes to play with and drink water from the sink. But now he just jumps right on in while were in the shower. |

Hi Lisa and Doug, Thank you for the information about Sasha's siblings and her mom's pictures. She is gorgeous. Here are some pictures from Sasha with Julia and Jonathan. Also, you will see a picture of Sasha with Tiger, a ragdoll we got last year, and Wina, a german shepherd "best friend" that come to visit and play every so often. She is the sweetest dog. The night she came to our house she cried for about one hour at bed time, and then never more. I would leave her at her place to sleep and she would stay there, at that young age. Today she sleeps at an old couch, occasionally with Tiger. Best wishes, Denison |

Hi there Lisa... I hope life is treating you well. I just wanted to give you a heads up. I am sending 2 people your way who absolutely fell in love with Horus yesterday and insisted on me giving them your info. They were 2 separate occasions, but both previous Aby owners and had told me they have never seen an Aby as beautiful and special as Horus. They demanded to know where I got him. These were separate incidences: I was walking him on a leash from the park to Petco and they saw how obedient he was, just following along right next to me. Then, when I told them I trained him to go to the bathroom in the toilet, instead of the litter box, they REALLY got interested. THEN, after playing with him for 5 minutes, one lady had tears in her eyes, saying how much she had always loves Aby's and hers had died recently. She really wants to get another one after falling in love immediately with Horus. She said she had never seen an Aby as sweet and precious as mine, but that ALL Aby's were special in their own way. The next woman was an Aby rescuer for older cats and would NOT stop obsessing about how lucky I was to have such an amazing little guy! She LOVED Horus! I don't want them to pass up the opportunity to find a little miracle of their own like I did and I couldn't think of any other breeder in the world that could make their lives a little bit better by getting an Aby from you. Horus rocks. I've never had a better baby than him. He is SPOILED ROTTEN and is so people friendly and loves to be handled. You'd be proud to see how he turned out. He is quite amazing, even for an Aby. I adore him. Thanks Lisa, there isnt a day that goes by where I don't think about how lucky I am to have such a little miracle. Mea |

Hi, The little guy (still no name - but my son calls him Mookie) is doing really well, as you can see he has taken over the Christmas tree - not to mention the whole house, and my little boy loves him, spends hours being dragging around a ribbon for the kitty to chase.Wishing you all the best for a happy new year. Thanks, Marlinn |

Hi Lisa!! Long time, no email! ;-) I just wanted to send a short note to let you know we are celebrating Shiloh's 1 year birthday today! How time flies - we've had the pleasure of Shiloh's company since June 29th of last year! He's as much of a joy as he was as a kitten - only bigger! I'm sending along a few photos so you can see how he's doing: Shiloh and Seti are fast friends, and Seti is really really happy with his (now-not-so) little buddy. Hope all is well with you and the cats, horse(s), and dogs. Best to you and Doug, Paul and Steven |

Lisa, Sonora is busy growing her coat back. We found some nice dogs to play with in the park and she had a ball. She definitely wanted to be the leader and insisted that every adult pet her. Every one thought she was beautiful and could not believe that she was almost 6 and had all those puppies. She ran and played like a kid and chased our grand kids all over. She knows all of our commands for her and our habits too. The minute the TV goes off downstairs she gets up and heads upstairs for bed without being told. She and our cat, Noelle, are special friends. Noelle loved our other dog too. We are so enjoying her. Diane |

Hi Lisa, Jonathan and I had a fine visit to Fairbanks Farm. We talked and laughed about Jules and how friendly she was towards Jonathan, the beautifully elegant dogs you breed, and all of the cats, especially meeting our handsome blue boy whom Jonathan named Casper, fondly called Casperini (diminutive, for Casper which he seems to like to respond to better) and his parents. We were so blessed to meet you too! We noticed how loving all the animals we met were so friendly. In fact Casper(ini) played with Jonathan the whole trip back to Tustin! They had a great time. Casper has adjusted quickly. While we were making him cozy to his room, Jonathan and Casper were studying the cat book together and making notes. At one point when Casper had the pen in his two paws Jonathan exclaimed, " He's a prodigal kitten!". Indeed that was a good observation. Boy, did we laugh... Casper has adapted rapidly to the house. Thursday, the morning after he arrived, he explored the whole house (upstairs and downstairs), and had no problem finding his "safe room". He even found out Wuji in the M. Bdrm. closet where I was talking to him and was with them for their first visit. Today, Friday, I was with them most of the day and by the mid-afternoon we were all so tired we all took cat naps. Wuji quietly slept nearby while Casperini slept in my arms on my chest. He was purring and I think missing Angie, his mom, kneading and putting his head in the milking position in the crook of my arm. I am glad to report that he is eating well. Casper has such a great personality. I took him over to visit an elderly couple who have battled cancer and especially to see Sr. Rendiero who has been depressed. Casperini brought them love and joy and when we left, they had renewed hope and were so impressed at how Casperini was so affectionate with Luiza; he gave her some Esquimo nose kisses and her husband had a good chuckle when we told him about it after he had stepped out of the room. Thank you so much for the visit and making us so welcome. I will be sending some photos from time to time as Casper(ini) grows. He is a handsome, darling, sweet, playful, and fun kitten and I know that he has already warmed Wuji's heart, mine, and Jonathan's. Best regards, Patty |

Dear Lisa, I'm sorry I haven't written sooner, it's hard to tear myself away from these two little bums! The ride home was fine, they cried a little, I just kept my fingers in the cage and besides being excellent "chew toys", I think they offered them some comfort. When we got home, they took one look around and decided that behind my big antique dental cabinet would be a good place to hide from the two giants. A great choice, they cuddled up together, and stayed for about 2 hours. Just about the time I started to worry, they emerged. I got their food ready and they ate a little, he more than she. It wasn't long before their shyness dissipated and they were running around like wild red Indians! When night came, we took them to bed, but they preferred to sleep together behind our big armoire. In the wee hours they came out and had a romp on the bed, and some good loving and chewing on mum and dad! Now they are eating like crazy, sleeping in the bed with us, (when they settle down, that is!) and seem completely content. We are absolutely crazy about them! Completely and hopelessly in love! The little boy's name is Hajji Baba, from the Arabian Nights. The worthless son of a barber who never worked and chased the ladies. lol! The girl's name is Abu Amon Ra. Abu for Sabu's (the great East Indian child actor) role in the very old movie, "Thief of Baghdad." Of course, we will call them Abu and Hajji! I just want to say, Lisa, that from the start you were great! Never an unanswered e-mail, always nice and courteous, you're a great lady! It was our pleasure to meet you and do business with you, and, as promised, I will keep in touch and send pics of these two terwilligers, one, who is on my lap as I write and the other, who is charging around on my keyboard, itching to make his first bid on eBay! God bless your sweet heart, Lisa! Love, Mike and JoAnn |
