The Collies were the hit of the party!

In March 2010, we set out to experience the Collie Nationals in Pomona, Ca.  Our goal was just to have fun and for our dogs to show well.   We were not disappointed, all the dogs did their best and we were proud of their performance.  In addition, and much to our delight, Fairbanks The Master's Touch "Rafael" made the cut in his open blue class and then Fairbanks Follow the Wind  "Rocco" got a class placement.  Friday was the brood bitch class where CH Fairbanks Desert Safari was next with 4 of her kids (Rocco, Rafi, Sarabi (Fairbanks Desert Mirage), and Sequin (Fairbanks All that Glitters).  All showed great and much to our delight we won first place.  This is an incredible honor as it reflects on not just one dog, but our whole breeding program.  On Saturday Lauren and Sarabi won their Junior Exhibitor class .  This was truly a once in a lifetime experience!

Our first achievement - Rocco won fourth place in his class!

By the end of the show, we had Rocco's fourth place,

Lauren's first in Junior Exhibitor and Safari's first in Brood Bitch.

This is what our show table looked like with all the awards.

Our first Group Placement!  Rocco won Best of Breed and then Group 2 in the herding group.

We are so proud of our handsome boy!

Our First Champion Owner Handled!  Rafael finished with a Major in Ventura.

We are looking forward to his career as a Special!

In June 2010, we took the dogs to Flagstaff Arizona and had a wonderful time.  It was windy and cold but the dogs did well and in addition to showing, we enjoyed taking them to some indian ruins, the meteor crater and a historic area.  It was Great Fun!

Rafael won his first Major!

Rio showed perfectly!

Sequin was awesome - and won a major reserve!

Rocco was as stately as always.

In September 2010, we took the dogs to the Prescott show.  It was an incredible weekend!  We finished 3 champions (Rio, Rocco and Sarabi), got 2 major reserves (Eva and Sequin) and 1 Group placement (Safari).  Following that show, our new champions won best of breed and best of opposite sex at the Cerritos show, starting off their Grand Champion titles with a bang.
